It’s hot, but you can feel cool in one of this summer’s must-have sundresses. And, with many now on sale, there’s no better time to buy…
Heatwaves are made for sundresses – and by sundress, I mean sleeveless, strappy dresses, probably midi or maxi in length, and made for wafting around in hot, sunny climes – which for the last few months, has been the UK! I think it’s always worth snapping up a good sundress as great ones can be hard to find. Thankfully, the weather has gone to designers’ heads and there is a great choice this year. So what do I have my eye on? Well, if you are a fan of gingham and ruffles (together! I know!) then this J.Crew dress is for you. I’d ditch the shoes and fling on a pair of snazzy sandals, but otherwise it’s pretty amazing.
Emily and Fin specialise in beautiful prints and slightly retro shapes. It was hard to choose which sundress I liked the most, but I love the toucan print and pockets of the Pippa (pictured above) and the beautiful stripes of the Jodie. I also rather like the Anna jumpsuit, but we are talking about dresses here!
How va va voom is the back of this beautiful sun dress by Des Petits Hauts? Just stunning and now just £77.50 (down from £155) in the sale. This navy dress, also by Des Petits Hauts, is pretty cute too.
I love this dress and have a feeling Natasha would too. If only it came in black and then I’d snap it up pronto.
Kemi Telford has been storming up Instagram recently with her beautiful African prints and gorgeous designs. Her pocketed maxi skirts first caught my eye, but her simple sundresses are equally appealing – and amazing value. This one above is just £40.
Warehouse are very good at summer dresses. This one above is £46 and such an easy way to instant chic.
Ichi is a new-to-me brand, which I’ll definitely be checking out again if this dress (above) is anything to go by. Now £32.50 in the sale.
Quite Sexy Italian Widow and realistically, a bit too hot for heatwave dressing (great by night though!) I couldn’t not mention this dress from Topshop, which I’ve had my eye on for a while. This yellow sundress (below) is also great for holidays and hot days.
