Amazing High Street Finds Klaxon!

1a90f8f198ceb41c3c3b7851eada4110I had a rather excellent Style File for you today, but the combination of a virus (thanks to my children), the day job and a shortage of images means I have defaulted to my current summer obsession: a white dress. This week I have worn one three days out of five. Imagine my joy when I spotted this one [above] and feverishly tracked it down…to Asos, where it is sold out. Curses. But then – oh joy – I discovered this from Topshop…

It’s The Dream. I could not be more enamoured. (Well, I could, were I the proud possessor of a bit of Chloe.)

Chloe or Toppers, the point remains that the white dress is the easiest go-to for summer ever. (Bar the cleaning factor.) Which is probably why I am having such an issue finding a dress of another hue for my brother’s wedding in two weeks. Eek. (Seriously. All suggestions welcome.)

Further finds (I can hear you thinking, “get to the POINT”): this from Madewell, this from Asos, the Cecily Dress from Wrap (which is an absolute steal, I had to check twice that my eyes weren’t deceiving me, such is the scale of the reduction) and this broderie number from La Redoute.

From top: Cecily dress, £49 (from £159), Wrap; Broderie Anglaise dress, £37.50 (was £75), La Redoute

Here’s some more pale and interesting inspiration. I have never thought about white being tight but this might change my mind.

(This week’s numbers have included this bargain from Boden; a holiday purchase, and this Marant-esque number from the improbably named Chicwish – from whence I also like this.)
