Bohemian Rhapsody

Is boho a no-no? We don’t think so…It’s summer! The weather has been glorious (and it will be again)! Which means it is officially the season when we all want to channel our inner (haute) hippie and dress like Talitha Getty/Sienna Miller circa 2005/Stevie Nix albeit in a chic, subtle and very do-ably modern way….

Peasant top, £98, Anthropologie

Even if you are a minimalist at heart, it’s hard not to see the appeal of a floaty, boho blouse or dress. So pretty and wafty, so easy to wear, boho is to summer what chunky knits are to winter – a given. We’re not saying you have to go the whole hog and head to San Francisco with flowers in your hair, but injecting a little boho loveliness into your wardrobe, will put a spring in your step. Moreover, boho doesn’t have to look too girly and flaky, it can look grown up and stylish. The high priestesses of all things boho are of course, Isabel Marant, Antik Batik, March 11, Talitha (from super-stylist Kim Hersov), Vita Kin and Dodo Bar Or, who has nailed the modern boho look to perfection. But, you don’t have to spend a fortune to get the look as the high street also does it beautifully. Zara and Anthropologie both do good boho with more tassels than you could shake a pom pom at, but there’s plenty else to be found online and in store…
