Eat this: foods and supplements to make your skin look better

Honestly, I am the last person who preaches about what you should eat. How could I when I mainline chocolate like a junkie and was last seen snacking on pom pom bears whilst making friends with a bottle of Whispering Angel? But, *groan*, I'm not an idiot. Well, not a ginormous idiot and I do know that healthy foods and super-supplements can make a real difference to how you look and how you feel. In what has become this summer's bid to make my skin look better, I've done some in-depth research (i.e. asked someone else) into the best foods and supplements to take to make your skin look plumper, healthier and younger than ever. Thankfully, that person is the fab Nutritional Therapist Jo Saunders, part of the brilliant Cooking Them Healthy team who knows all there is to know about super-charged eating....…

Let it Go

Have you made any resolutions for 2015? I was thinking about this the other evening whilst feeding my little boy. Babies are tough, right? He’s been pretty easy thus far, but we’ve hit some challenges in the last couple of weeks (anyone who can solve the sudden early waking issue wins a prize/my eternal devotion) and I find myself getting incredibly frustrated and stressed; I feel I should be able to control everything so he runs ‘to schedule’. Hello? Of course I can’t control it. Any more than I can make the sun rise or the moon eclipse. Babies will be babies. Everything’s a phase. ‘Natasha’, I said to myself, as he nuzzled into my arm, ‘you are simply going to have channel Elsa and Let It Go’. (Incidentally, am I the only person who is unable to hear ‘Let it Go’ or – even worse – ‘Do You Want to Build a Snowman’ – without welling up? My daughter likes to sing them in her sweet little voice and I have to turn and furiously busy myself with something mundane like the washing-up.) Back to my resolutions. I warn you, I sound a bit like I want to be…

Recipes from The Art of Eating Well by Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley

We all want to eat well, right? The thing is it’s not always as easy as it should be. But, the good news is that there’s never been a better time to want to eat well. From Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop to Voguette Calgary Avaninso, there are plenty of health gurus out there, but the newest – and certainly among the most relatable – duo are sisters Jasmine and Melissa Hemsley aka Hemsley + Hemsley.…
