Style File: Sarah Curran of Very Exclusive

One of the things I love most about Style File is discovering what women who work in fashion actually wear themselves. As MD of new e-commerce platform Very Exclusive (where you can buy a designer item and spread the cost over 3 months), Sarah Curran has to walk that tricky tightrope of looking on-trend and as ready for meetings with investors and business people as she is with designers and fashion bods. Her style is chic, accessible and very covetable. If you’re after a gorgeous new look, then this busy working mother’s wardrobe is definitely one to covet……

Style File: Julia Dobson of Village England

Alex and I have recently made a new bag discovery: Village England. Bags with the most impeccable credentials and high-end design (at a less than terrifying price point). Bags which, it transpires, are exactly what you need for work, weekend, hanging out with the children, high-powered meetings. There’s a (thoughtfully conceived, beautifully designed) bag in the Village England collection for you. Having fallen for the bags we had to know what makes the woman behind the brand tick, style-wise……

Donna Ida is an inspirational women. She’s as effervescent as a glass of champagne, whip-smart, incredibly driven, and kind. She is also a denim genius. This woman will change the way you wear jeans. Stymied by the difficulty of finding the perfect pair of jeans, she opened her first eponymous Donna Ida denim boutique in 2006. Another followed (in Belgravia) and you can also shop – and access her legendary denim clinic – online. For a glimpse into the life of the world’s best jeans brain, follow Donna on Twitter @donnaida and @iamtheidagirl; and Instagram @donnaida and @donnaidadenim. Style File: Caroline Stanbury, Founder of The Gift Library and star of Ladies of London

Have you been watching Ladies of London? If not, you’re missing out. When it comes to guilty pleasures, then this reality TV show set in the British capital is up there with the best of them. It’s brilliantly no holes barred with a high-heeled, high-maintenance cast, which includes American abroad Caprice and British fashion darling Annabelle Neilson alongside an assortment of beautifully-groomed ex-pats. But, it’s most definitely the other Brit of the cast, Caroline Stanbury, who is the star of the show. A no nonsense businesswoman who is not only the founder of Gift Library, owner of The Wedding Shop and one of the best-connected women in the UK, she is quite simply brilliant TV. A mother-of-three with a passion for handbags, she is, unsurprisingly, in possession of one seriously kick-ass wardrobe.…

Style File: Stylist Jemima Bradley from Musings from a London Mum

We love Jemima Bradley’s style blog, Musings from a London Mum. Reading it, I always think, ‘Ah, she’s one of us’. By which I mean a woman who juggles a creative career (she’s a freelance stylist) with being a mama to her two little girls, Rose and Martha, and a blogger – you can follow her via Twitter (@jemimabradley) and Instagram (@musingsfromalondonmum). She also has a genius eye for style and nails a great on and off duty look – who better to be our latest Style File candidate?…

Style File: Anna Singh of Chinti and Parker

Let’s be honest. Who wouldn’t love something from Chinti and Parker in their wardrobe? Best known for their beautiful cashmere sweaters (their gorgeous star jumper has long been on my personal lust-list and is something of a cult classic), the label is worn by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Alexa Chung and Marion Cotillard, and in 5 short years has become the fashion industry’s go-to brand for chic, luxury knitwear. In recent years, Chinti and Parker have expanded their womenswear line, collaborated with Liberty and have just launched a gorgeous new menswear line (generous Christmas present problem solved!) Established by cousins Anna Singh and Rachael Wood, Chinti and Parker basically rocks. Here, Anna who lives in London with her husband and two children (and whose favourite all-time C&P design is their one-pocket sweater) talks us through the wardrobe essentials that make up her daily uniform……

My Uniform: Anneli Willis of What I Bought Today

We’re completely thrilled to feature the gorgeous Anneli Willis from What I Bought Today as today’s My Uniform. I met her at a bloggers’ lunch the other week – and she was super stylish, smart and sweet. She also cheerfully admitted to a Zara addiction (my kind of girl) and is a fellow West London girl. I just knew she was just the perfect candidate for My Uniform: yes, she’s ultra stylish, but not in a head-to-toe in designer fashion: what she has is a great eye for a good piece. You’ll totally want to steal her style. She also has the most addictive blog and great taste. You’re probably already a fan, but if not, click here immediately and prepare to become obsessed. (Completely obsessed already? Did you know you can shop her wardrobe?) You can also follow Anneli and her impeccable taste on Twitter and Instagram @AnneliWillis and on Pinterest.…

My Uniform: Marcyanna Legan, MD of Racinne

One such brand is Racinne, which is winning rave reviews for its technologically-advanced lotions and potions. Racinne’s MD Marcyanna Legan is based in London and rather than the staid business suits you might associate with a Managing Director, she is all about cool, casual comfort. With a love of jeans, shoes and handbags, her uniform is the perfect definition of the mantra ‘less is more’..…
