Family-friendly travel: Sweden for the summer?

Sweden isn’t just for fashion, snow and super-blonde hotties – it’s also fantastic for holidays. The beaches are gorgeous (trust me, I’ve seen them in all their delicious white-sand gorgeousness), the summer light is almost endless and there’s just so much to do for families. Whether you hit Stockholm, head to an island or lounge around by the sea, you’re in for a good time……

Insider’s guide to Corfu: with kids or without kids, just go…

One of the world's all-time favourite holiday destinations, Corfu is the sun-drenched Greek Island famed not only as the setting for Gerald Durrell's My Family and Other Animals, but also as a place of gorgeous beaches, beautiful scenery and stunning coastal views over the glittering Mediterranean. Inspired by pictures of her ridiculously amazing villa Agnos House (available to rent this summer through Scott Williams), we turned to Interior Designer Looby Crean, who has been visiting Corfu for years and is an expert on what to do and where to go on this most idyllic of Greek islands. If you're going this summer, read on for her hot tips and to discover how she transformed the house into a stunning home. If not, read on, be inspired and book for next year! You won't regret it....…

Design inspiration: The Kitchin, Edinburgh

We don’t normally feature restaurants, but when W&W collaborator Emily Murray, founder of our new favourite interiors site The Pink House, told us about The Kitchin, we just had to know more. Not only is the food amazing, but the design is pure rustic luxe – and most importantly, just the kind of thing that’s possible to steal inspiration from and recreate at home. We particularly love the silver birch panels and mini-stools just for your handbag……

Hot Hotel Review: Limewood, New Forest, Hampshire

Sometimes you just need a little luxe in your life. To be pampered, looked after and reminded that yes, actually, you really are rather fab. Which is why a night or two at Limewood, the luxury boutique retreat in the heart of the New Forest is exactly the kind of pep-me-up we all need……

3 new UK hotels for 2016

There are few things I love more than a gorgeous boutique hotel. They're almost up there on a par with my children (I'm kidding, I'm kidding...or am I?!) Which is why, I am extremely excited about the prospect of these three new beauties opening this Spring. Two (The Pig at Combe and The Painswick) come from bonafide leaders in the boutique hotel field, whilst the third (Thyme) looks so darn lovely, we are sure it's a classic in the making. And, what's that? An opening offer for one of them of £99 per night? Yup, it's too good to ignore.... …

Time to book a holiday? 3 great villas for a sun-filled summer escape

Looks good, huh? Maybe just a teensy bit better than what you’re doing right now? (*stares out of window at the grey rain-sodden sky and returns with a sob to her computer*) If so, why not make it a reality? With the weather being quite frankly unreliable, I am seriously craving proper sunshine and when an email about hot new villa company Oliver’s Travels popped into my inbox, I was all over it like a skinny fashionista at the Chanel sample sale. With 2000 properties on their books and clients spending an average of £39 per person, per night, the villas aren’t only gorgeous (we’re talking converted windmills, trulli and glass houses), but also not break-the-bank expensive and great for big family gatherings or groups of friends travelling together. Here are 3 that I’m currently dreaming of….…

Into the Woods: amazing tree houses for the perfect weekend break

I never used to like autumn. It always seemed to feel like the beginning of the end, the slow, cold march towards a long, dark winter. But then, children came along, and quite frankly, I didn’t have time to dwell on it anymore. And then, without even thinking about it, I found that I actually rather liked the season. The changing colours, snuggly knits, crunchy leaves, bunkering down inside when the wind is whipping up outside and of course, those bright blue autumnal days that are just so beautiful because they are so rare. With all this in mind, I’ve also grown fond of autumnal breaks. This year we’re off to CenterParcs and I’m actually really looking forward to cosying up in a cabin in the woods, but where I’d really like to be staying is a treehouse. A lovely, luxurious treehouse which makes you feel like some glorious bird of paradise nesting up in the treetops…And oh, I’ve found some beauties……

Time to spa: So Spa at Sofitel St James, London

There’s something pretty special about a beautifully serene spa in the heart of a madly busy city, especially when you’ve travelled on the tube (side note: there were a lot more beards than in my regular commuting day), pounded the pavements and swerved the crowds to get there. Calm, quiet and more than a little Parisian in feel, So SPA at Sofitel St James is pretty awesome when it comes to massages……

Insider’s Guide: Corsica

I have just returned from a blissful trip to Corsica (as you will know if you follow us on Instagram) where the beaches really do feel like you are stepping into a postcard. This was our third trip – and certainly not our last. There is a lot to love about this island. The beaches, the weather, the scenery, the wine, the cheese……
