Holiday Packing, 3 Ways

Anyone else counting down the days? Yep, holiday season looms large. With this in mind, here’s three ways to tackle your holiday packing. (Alternatively, here’s what to wear if you’re running out of outfit ideas for the heatwave…)

I am officially on Corsica Countdown (providing we get through the rigorous end-of-term schedule (shows, sports days, new school picnics etc. What is with saving everything for the last month of term?), which means that I will be faced with the joy of holiday packing. And when I say ‘joy’ I mean ‘pain of packing for four people’. I enjoy packing for myself – but apparently other people need clothes to wear, too. (I have no genius tips. I simply try to pare it right back to a week’s worth of clothes and take washing tablets. Children get dirty pretty much every day on holiday – sand, suncream, ice cream… – so I just chuck everything in the washing machine.)

When it comes to packing for myself, I like to pack either by colour palette (last year this was blue and white) or with a very lose theme in mind. This, I have decided, is The Year of the Dress, it’s all I want to wear when it’s hot (I’ll throw in a pair of denim cut-offs, but am prepared to bet I’ll default to the dress). I’ll be packing this, this and this for outright prettiness; this and my new favourite Innika Choo for the beach, and – if I had any chance of a night out with my husband whilst on holiday, I’d take this for a whirl.

With this said, here are three holiday packing themes to play around with. Or – if you prefer – some heatwave-inspired purchases.
