How to shop the sales (for your home)

66f37cb2b08da1cd72c565ef5d8f8019A little addendum to our sales post; today, our favourite homes bargains.

We know you love Neom and they have up to 40% off selected items, including candles to make your home smell all the sweeter: the Christmas Wish is not just for Christmas and Comforting will blast away the rainy day blues. On a non-home note, the rose-scented Complete Bliss hand lotion is heaven.

If I was rather handier than I am with a sewing machine, I would be stocking up on discounted Liberty fabric for cushions and dresses for little C.

We’re big fans of The White Company. I make a beeline for their excellent bed linen and towels cometh the sales. I love these charcoal grey towels and the Limoges bathmat (now £14 (was £20) and dark grey is so much more practical than white when you have small people who like to splash wildly when in the bath…) This Brittany quilt  (now from £126 for a single). The vintage floral bed linen is perfect for little girls (now 30% off) and tiny navy stars are perfect for both boys and girls (now £36 for a single bed set).

Graham & Green is one of my favourite interiors destinations (sign up to receive their emails and you’ll get notifications of their occasional ‘clear the warehouse’ sales. Yes, they’re in west London (sorry) BUT the bargains to be had are magnificent). I love this beautiful lampshade (I just need to redecorate a room around it – a small issue, you’ll agree); these bevelled glass knobs (now £3.15 each) in candy colours would zhush a plain chest of drawers (or wardrobe) in an instant. And how often does gratification cost just £3.15? This animal clock would be perfect for a children’s room. I love the simplicity of the Canteen ceramic range – you cannot go awry with white rimmed with deep blue.

I frequently find myself coveting something, only to find it’s from Oka. This lamp base is exquisite – if I had such a thing as a hall, and therefore a console table type number, it would greet my guests. (In my dreams, said hallway would also require an umbrella stand.) This French Stripe cushion cover (now £25) would be perfect in my mum’s conservatory. The gorgeous hurricane lamps are now from £14.25 – they are just the kind of thing you find in classy interiors. And how elegant would your breakfast table look with these cups and saucers, perhaps mixed in with some side plates for contrast?
