Object of Lust: The Perfect Summer Dress

This dress might look designer, but it’s actually from Warehouse.

Warehouse! I ask you. (Well, less of the asking more of the would-you-believe-it.) It’s one of those brands I loved when I was younger, but rarely frequent now. And yet I found myself on the website last night and discovered the floral shift [above] which costs just £48 (you can also find it at Asos). And it is pretty much the perfect summer dress. (Make it casual with flats or zhuzh it up with heels – wouldn’t it be fab for a wedding?) For those of you who are, like me, with bump, simply size up. I love it. Heck, I want it. I might even buy it.

(This is also very pretty, and I love the boho vibe of this midi dress. And how about dipping your toe in the jumpsuit waters – when it’s this simple and chic, why not? I also love this stencil floral top – and this one. Are you sensing a theme emerging?)

I must also mention the fabulous MiH sale. I adore their jeans and the deceptively simple In the Studio shirt is beautifully made, will last forever (wear with skinnies or black trousers) and has been a godsend worn over black leggings with a fabulous pair of sandals. Honestly, by 10am on the first day of wearing, I’d had compliments from my three-year-old, my boss (the always-super-stylish Jo Elvin, Editor of GLAMOUR) and a girl on the tube. And it’s on sale. Worth the investment, I promise.

Oh my – I love the Warehouse midi dress – very Liberty’esque. And I do adore a Liberty print at the end of the day.
