Running in style: activewear that doesn’t cost the earth

Is there anything more boring than talking about running? Perhaps talking about your children, but running is right up there, unless you are a newly-addicted running addict like me and then you can listen and talk for days. So whilst I'll spare you the full chat - save to say that there's nothing that puts me on an even keel, lifts me up when I'm feeling down or just snaps me out of 'it' than a run outside (always outside) - I will talk to you about running gear. Or yoga gear. Or gym gear. Whatever you call the bits of lycra you pull on when you're off to do exercise (or do the school run - because let's face it, it's the easy cheat to getting ready in the morning) - and because I don't have a gazillion pounds to spend on gym gear (however lovely it is), I'm going to talk about the high street, because that is where it's at these days....…

17 Parenting Hacks for a more Enjoyable Life by The London Mummy

Do you have kids? Do you also like fashion, great reviews and brilliant interviews? Then hop onto The London Mummy. Parenting blogs can often be revoltingly smug or naff, but this one isn't it. In fact, it's the only one I read. Written by the fantastic Lucinda Robins (who is also behind TLM Edit - one of my favourite online boutiques), it's down-to-earth, stylish, friendly and helpful. I particularly liked this post on parenting hacks, that she kindly let us repost on W&W. Wise and true, we agree with her wholeheartedly...…

5 Ways to Update Your Wardrobe for Autumn

Yes, it’s (notionally) still summer, but the new season stock is trickling into the shops and our consciousness. New season Hush has just landed

Yes, it is still August and you are, quite probably, still wearing shorts - even if it's freezing as it's summer damn it - but, you *may* have a shopping itch to scratch. Buy now, and let's face it, probably wear now, and wear for months to come, PLUS a discount code. What's not to (cue picture above) love?…

City Break: Why your next weekend away should be in London

Weekends away without the kids? Remember them? The sheer gloriousness of being able to do what you want, when you want and as little as you want ALL THE TIME? No meals to prepare, no-one to put to bed, no-one to wake you up, no Lego to step on or Octonauts to watch (I have been watching Octonauts with various children for the last 7 years. I've done my time). It goes without saying (but I feel I should) that we love and feel very lucky to have our kids, but occasionally (ahem), you need time on your own. Time to regroup, reconnect and rediscover your old child-free self.…
