Shopping the Sales for Small People – Part 1

1171779617_1_1_1 I am a big fan of ‘buy now, wear later’ for my children. Today my daughter wore a sundress I bought in the sales last year (the boy just wore navy striped leggings. He is crawling – and thus frequently filthy of knee). My sales hit list: Zara Kids, The Little White Company, Mini Boden and M&S. I’ll add Mango Kids to that list this year. Plus Elias & Grace and Alex & Alexa for some designer hits.

At The Little White Company, I’ll make a beeline for these striped dungarees – because, quite honestly, who can resist a little boy in dungarees? (They would also look adorable on a little girl with a pretty white top underneath.) The sales are a good time to stock up on basics like sleepsuits (try this one) and pjs: I can think of many little boys who would adore these Jolly Roger pyjamas and little girls (including my own who has suddenly entered the pink phase) who would be taken with this fairy print. Whilst it’s not exactly practical, this white broderie dress is gorgeous – as is this.

PL_04_T78_5763W_R4_X_EC_0Head over to M&S for this floral romper or a starter set  (a brilliant present for a new mama or a mama-to-be). Alex is a big fan of bright colours for little boys (she has three very stylish boys on her hands) – and would probably urge you snap up this set of colourful tees. (P.S. If I had another little girl, she would be sporting this cardigan and bloomer set.)

sunbeam1I must put in a word here for Olli Ella sale. I adore their prints – and have bought the Sunbeam rug (above) for my son’s nursery. Partly to protect the carpet, partly because it’s so gloriously sunny. Do check out their sale – the prints on the bedding are fabulous.
