Spring style: Pink sunglasses

I love sunglasses. Not only do they do what they say on the tin and keep the sun out of your eyes, they also hide aforementioned eyes and all the dark, lined, tired bag-gage that go with them. They are basically spring/summer – and if you can swing it – winter essentials. And you know what I really love at the moment? All the gorgeous, flattering pink sunglasses that are in the shops and start from just £5 (so if you lose them, well, you can deal with it) – quite honestly, I don’t know why I haven’t owned a pair before. Want to know the easiest way to ‘lift’ an outfit? By wearing one of these beauties….

Pink sunglasses are eternally chic, but also a little bit different, so you’ll see them on women who are stylish, but with a twist. Step forward Laura Bailey and Alexa Chung. It’s a look I love, so let’s start with the ones I have; this light pink pair from M&S (above). They are a really flattering shape and colour, and at £6 are also great value. They’d look amazing with the gorgeous M&S tie-waist dress that Natasha has been wearing on Instagram lately.

Or, you could go for this pair from H&M, which is actually the first pair I saw and kicked off my yearning for a pink sunnies. Also at H&M, there are these beautiful polarised ones. So pretty. And Accessorize are always great for sunglasses, this pair is similar to my M&S ones, as are these Topshop ones, although they’re such a light pink, they’re verging on clear. Whilst, this Cateye pair would make you feel like Audrey Hepburn (as let’s face it, it’s going to take more than a pair of sunglasses to make most of us look like her).

If you’re looking to invest – and sunglasses are actually something you can consider investing in – you wear them A LOT, they’re on your face, people will always notice them (just don’t lose them) – then this pair from Sunday Somewhere are uber glam, as are these Kate Spade ones and this gorgeous pair from Taylor Morris.

Finally, if you like the idea of pink sunglasses, but are not so keen on the Cat’s Eye shape. How about these aviators from Accessorize? Pink, so great for all skin colours, and with the super-flattering Aviator design. What’s not to love?
