Happy Easter! We are celebrating by eating many mini eggs (this is probably just me) and taking some time off to be with our families. Please come and visit us over on Instagram (@wearandwhere) and Twitter (@WearandWhereUK), where we’ll keep you posted as to our goings-on and any brilliant discoveries we make along the way. In the meantime, here’s just a few things we’ll be doing this week…
What I wish I could be doing is breaking out my Spring wardrobe. I type this in front of the fire curled up under a blanket, so I don’t hold out a vast amount of hope. However, I can plan: I am very smitten with denim again this season. Alex recommended Gap’s girlfriend jeans when I protested that I love boyfriend jeans but they do not love me. I have taken the plunge into flares with MiH’s Bodycon Marrakesh jeans which are so fabulous I am baffled as to why I haven’t tried them before. I also love IDA’s Kitty jeans – which did not, at first, fit me (more floor than ankle swinging), but the genius team there customised them so they fall perfectly.
I am all about a bit of boho (still) and would willingly swap my winter jumpers for one of the following…
Cooking from Fay Ripley’s most recent book. I am a huge fan of Fay’s Family Food – the premise that you cook one meal for the whole family warms the very cockles of my heart, especially now we are in the throes of weaning. This one promises that Fay Makes It Easy. I jolly well hope so. Anything which helps answer the daily ‘what’s for supper’ is welcomed into my life with open arms. All the other cookbooks will just have to jostle along the shelf to make space.
Contemplating a home refresh with a peruse of H&M’s home collection
Reading Pat the Bunny to my little chap. So simple, so delightful and much more suitable for babies than chocolate. His cousin has a copy for Easter coming her way, too – it’s a perfect baby present. If this chill continues he’ll be wearing this kitten-soft cashmere cardigan from M&S. In my dreams, he is wearing this Stella McCartney Kids number from Alex & Alexa.
Having a night away from the small folk. We’re off to a wedding on Good Friday and I. Cannot. Wait. We’re staying at The Peacock at Rowsley. and I anticipate a real treat. Although a lie-in anywhere beyond 7am is a treat, quite honestly.
