It’s no secret that I have a thing for stars. Earrings, necklaces, sweaters, the show-stopping dress that Kate Moss wore for her thirtieth birthday, nearly 12 years ago (I mean really? It doesn’t seem that long ago…)…stars are perennial style favourite. Whilst the beautiful star prints at Saint Laurent (above) are just a little (ahem) out of my budget, there’s plenty more to feast your eyes on…..
A star print sweater is something of a modern wardrobe staple and especially at this time of the year. This grey jumper with a gold star from Hush is ideal for the Christmas season giving a high-low spin when worn with a pencil skirt or a super-stylish relaxed look for chilling out. (£75) The Chinti & Parker cashmere star sweater is a modern classic, and yup, I’m still lusting after one. (£350)
I adore this necklace from Hush (£49.95) and am in fact wearing it as I type. Simple, yet stunning it’s perfect worn on its own or layered with other gold jewellery. The two clasp rings giving you a choice of lengths (40 or 45.5cms) is a very clever touch. Another piece that’s as pretty worn on its own as it is layered is this star fish bracelet by Missoma. I love the little horseshoe charm. £115
It’s a little hard to see from this picture, but the Rocca dress by Sandro is embroidered with tiny, shiny little stars. Perfect for party season. £295.
What says ‘Christmas’ more than star print wrapping paper? Cox & Cox have done brilliantly this year with two designs to choose from…£12.50 for a 10-metre roll. I also really like these gift tags from John Lewis (£1 for 10), which would look lovely with simple paper.
Finally, if you’re looking for the perfect decoration for a festive table, how about these glitter scatter stars from The White Company? £10
