Style File: Smallable’s Cécile Roederer

Cécile Roederer is very chic, very charming and very cool. She is the founder and CEO of Smallable – a concept store for children which is impeccably curated. Imagine Net-a-Porter meets Selfridges – but for children – and you’re pretty much there. We also adore the super-stylish magazine. (Warning: the temptation to shop is almost irresistible. And they are branching out into womenswear. Uh-oh.) We had to request a glimpse into her super-stylish world – including a peek at what’s hot for AW15 for children, mamas and interiors……

Shopping the Sales for Small People – Part 2

I mentioned on Friday that Mango is my new go-to for little ones. Let’s start with these adorable trousers with little patched knees – perfect for crawlers. And the list does not stop there. (Or indeed, with this shop – there are some fabulous bargains to be snapped up now…)…

Shopping the Sales for Small People – Part 1

I am a big fan of ‘buy now, wear later’ for my children. Today my daughter wore a sundress I bought in the sales last year (the boy just wore navy striped leggings. He is crawling – and thus frequently filthy of knee). My sales hit list: Zara Kids, The Little White Company, Mini Boden and M&S. I’ll add Mango Kids to that list this year. Plus Elias & Grace and Alex & Alexa for some designer hits.…

The Perfect Summer Shoe (For Little People)

Stop the weekend presses. Flitting around the web on a Friday eve in search of holiday essentials (we head off next weekend), I chanced across the most perfect pair of children’s shoes for the long, lazy summer holidays ahead of us (we hope). Espadrilles for boys and girls from Tootsa MacGinty. They’re £15; available in stripes (red, blue and multi-coloured) or solid colours (red, yellow and navy). Yes, I am officially obsessed. I am itching to order right now, but am waiting to ask the little one which colour she fancies tomorrow. (Fingers crossed for the navy stripes…) I love these shoes – and this brand.…

Mini Denim

I blame Alex and her denim post. There I was, running errands and doing good deeds, when I found myself in Gap. Where I promptly snapped up this denim dress for my little girl (I do love a denim pinny. Size up – just shorten the straps for this year and let them out as she grows). …

A Little Bit Bella

I love this super sweet sweatshirt (3-14 years. Idle thought: would age 14 fit a 5 ft 3″, size 8 mama?) which is currently in the sale at Zara Kids (now £12.99). Perfect over mini skinny jeans or cords – or to dress down a skirt. Of course, for the grown ups, you might want to invest in the Real Deal, so head to Net-a-Porter and snap up this Bella Freud jumper….…

Style File: Stylist Jemima Bradley from Musings from a London Mum

We love Jemima Bradley’s style blog, Musings from a London Mum. Reading it, I always think, ‘Ah, she’s one of us’. By which I mean a woman who juggles a creative career (she’s a freelance stylist) with being a mama to her two little girls, Rose and Martha, and a blogger – you can follow her via Twitter (@jemimabradley) and Instagram (@musingsfromalondonmum). She also has a genius eye for style and nails a great on and off duty look – who better to be our latest Style File candidate?…
