Sometimes a dress hits you for six and you just can’t stop thinking about it. When it comes to dresses like this, we say go for it. A dream dress, a really fabulous dress that you’ll love year after year, is a rare thing and this Ganni ruffled number is just that kind of dress. I first saw it on the brilliant @smalltownthreads’ instagram feed and fell in love. It’s a Dress of Dreams. Ruffled, polka-dotted and fabulous with trainers or sandals or heels, it’s a really special piece that everyone will notice (and also available in off white). And, I’ve just discovered you can get 10% off when you sign up to Trouva (and then 15% off your next purchase! Hurrah!) If I buy it (and I’m SO tempted) I’ll wear with my Veja trainers, which I got for Christmas and are 20% off at La Redoute this weekend with the code SAVE. I’d also be tempted to add a headband (so 2019, I’m obsessed!) to finish off the look and this Cleo bag from new-to-me Aurora London. A great round-shape (feels very modern) and a brilliant price, they’re a brand to check out.
I’ve been after a pair of pink cords for a while and these ones by & Other Stories have had me salivating. The cord isn’t too thick and I like the crop style. The website says they’re red, but to me, they look more like a salmon pink. Incredibly versatile, they’d look great with a simple tee, but equally sensational with a shirt (like this beautiful one by Mayla) and heels. I was lucky enough to be given a pair of earrings by Vogue favourite Toolally, an incredible brand with the most amazingly creative eye. Real statement earrings hand-crafted acrylic, they are so light to wear and true objects of beauty. You know something is special when you practically gasp each time you see them and Toolally’s Art-Deco inspired earrings are very special. They would go perfectly with the white blouse and cords.
Finally, on the shopping front, an honourable mention must go to this incredible skirt from M&S. You don’t often think of Marks & Spencer as the place to go for leather, but this leather midi is one that’s worth snapping up now. Great for spring with trainers and a tee or jumper French-tucked in, but also sensational in autumn/winter with boots. I think it’s one of those skirts that you’ll love forever, so if you’re in the market do snap it up now. Or plump for this mini from BA&SH, which I’ve been in love with for months! The knot makes it more ‘fashion’ and less ‘groupie’, which can only be a good thing.

Having had surgery on my knee a few days ago, my chances of being out and about in the near future are zero, so it’s a case of Netflix and Pill(s) for me. Luckily two series are about to hit screens and look right up my street. Dark comedy Dead to Me stars Christina Applegate as a widow looking for revenge on the hit-and-run driver who killed her husband. Wine Country is Amy Poehler’s (Saturday Night Live) directorial debut comedy about a group of friends heading off for a 50th birthday weekend, and looks very promising. Finally if you are heading out, Long Shot starring Charlize Theron has had great reviews and after an absence of some time is a rom com that’s actually funny.
