The Beauty Insider’s Christmas Gift Guide

Have you started your Christmas shopping? Have you even started thinking about your Christmas shopping? Despite my best intentions, I’m hopelessly disorganised and whilst I have thought about what to buy (more to come!) I haven’t bought a thing (I have a rather important first birthday to tackle first – and nope nothing’s been done for that either – oh poor neglected number 3!). Anyway, coming swiftly to my rescue is our lovely Beauty Editor Rachel Fiddes who has rounded up the most fabulous, most covetable, the best beauty gifts on the market. Buy them for a loved-one, add them to your Christmas list or just reward yourself because in the words of Jennifer Aniston (*swish your hair whilst saying this*) you’re worth it….

Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Candle

We all need some inner strength at Christmas and this calming blend of frankincense and cardamom wafting around should do the trick. Give to your Christmas host to ensure the season of peace and goodwill is as peaceful as possible! 10% of proceeds will be donated to Defence Against Cancer. £35

Eve Lom The Daily Collection

Give the gift of great skin this Christmas with a box of iconic Eve Lom skin savers for the beauty aficionado. The set includes 50ml Cleanser and muslin cloth, 50ml Morning Time Cleanser, 15ml Rescue Mask and 7ml Kiss Mix. Remarkably good value. £58.50

Deborah Lippmann Dance Music

This gorgeously glittery mini make-up bag contains the perfect nail duo. A beautiful rich winter burgundy, Single Ladies, and a festive party glitter polish Glitter and Be Gay to match the bag. Perfect pressie for the party girl. £17

Downton Abbey Bath Elixir

If you know anyone whose idea of the perfect Christmas Day involves Downton Abbey, then this is a must. A beautiful vintage-inspired Bath Elixir decanter with stopper, it blends freesias, mandarin and vanilla for an ultra-feminine, sparkling floral fragrance. £12.50

The Sanctuary Home Sweet Home

This year’s festive offerings from The Sanctuary are stunning – the packaging is illustrated with chinoiserie-style birds and florals on solid reusable boxes and tins. I’m hard pushed to choose my favourite, but Home Sweet Home with its room mist, votive candles and diffusers is pretty unbeatable for anyone who loves luxurious (but inexpensive) beauty home wares. £18

REN Radiance Skincare Regime

By December most complexions are looking distinctly dull and lacklustre, which is where this tin of radiance-boosting, multi award-winning beauty goodies comes in. Resurfacing AHA Concentrate, Radiance Renewal Mask, Micro Polish Cleanser and Satin Perfection BB Cream, will give complexions a much-needed, mid-winter pep talk. £30

Bobbi Brown Deluxe Lip & Eye Palette

Bobbi Brown’s holiday collection is stupendously beautiful this year. I’m supposed to choose one item to write about, but I’ve got to go for two. The Deluxe Palette (£59) packs in 8 easy-to-blend nude natural eyeshadows to suit all skin tones, and 8 easy-to-wear lip colours from a rich berry red through to dusky pale pinks, corals and shimmery nudes. Whoever you’re buying for, if she loves makeup she will adore this. The luxurious rich-brown mock-croc Mini Brush Set wallet (£56) is perfect for make-up on the go. 4 travel-sized brushes include Face Blender, Concealer Blending, Eyeshadow, and Dual-Ended Eye Liner and Ultra Fine Eye Liner brushes.

Lancome Absolue L’Extrait Luxury Set

And last but not least, for the girl who has everything, this is beauty gifting at its most extragant! An opulent dressing table style gift set containing full-sized 50ml Absolue L’Extrait Elixir and 30ml new Absolue L’Extrait Serum. (Please Santa, leave one under the tree for me!) £550

ps Whilst I haven’t bought anything just yet, we have started thinking about Christmas shopping – so much so that we’ve been compiling a fabulous W&W gift guide for this week. Stay tuned!
