Could it be that, in the first week of October, we’ve already found the shirt of the season? Check out this beauty from Monsoon, with which Alex and I are both, quite frankly, obsessed. While you’re at it, Monsoon’s AW collection is definitely worth checking out.
This dress is a treat – velvet (very AW16), floral print with a nod to the past. I rather fancy wearing this now, with bare legs and boots…
Midi dress, £129
If the white isn’t your thing- how about a black top edged with lace?
Emira lace blouse, £59
Animal-print coats are very much having a moment this winter, but a simple, well-cut coat thrown over your shoulders will always look good – I promise. This slim fit number isn’t as heavy as your winter-winter coat, so would actually prove a pretty wise investment, given the mildness of the weather. (Watch it suddenly turn unseasonable cold now I’ve said that…)
Libby coat, £119
I also love the look of this navy and grey wrap coat.
Elodie double face coat, £129
A flash of print is always chic – particularly when worn with jeans and a simple cashmere crew neck. These are fabulous (but if you prefer flats, try these pointed flats with ankle strap). I am mentally wearing them with the Libby coat [above] already.
Let’s finish with another look at the beauty that is the ruffle-sleeved, high-necked, lacy object of sheer gorgeousness…
Victoriana blouse, £59
