The trench is the perfect in-between season cover-up. Easy breezy, chic and a shield from the unpredictability of April showers. Simply roll up the sleeves, don’t belt it and go. Here’s our pick of the best…
I actually own the perfect trench – a Burberry mac. Well, it would be perfect if it fitted me. I bought it years ago in a sample sale and it is one size too big. It never fails to sadden me when I pull it on….and take it off as it simply does not look right. I have contemplated tailoring it – but fear ruining its perfection. It is with a heavy heart that I have elected to sell it (has anyone tried selling on Vestiare Collective? I’ve bought (an Isabel Marant jacket I love) and was very impressed, but not yet sold).
Fortunately, the high street is flipping brilliant on the tremch front and I have bought an excellent mac from Gap, which shall be seeing me through the April showers (unless the weather decides to skip straight to summer, as it appears to have done today (if you live in the south of England – sorry, sorry if winter is still with you and I have just rubbed salt in the wound. If it’s any comfort – you now have the perfect excuse to buy a trench).
