Not bad, eh? Okay, so you probably won’t go for the whole look – but who does? My point here is that this is part of the new homes collection from Next. I was so surprised when I spotted it in the window of my local Next that I was arrested in motion during the mad dash between Boots (stocking up on snacks for the smalll people) and Baby Gap (buying presents for another new addition to our circle).
There’s something very summer picnic and homemade lemonade about this recycled glass flip-top bottle with its little embossed bee, £6 (there’s also a matching set of 4 recycled bee tumblers, £10). And the knot rope doorstop is a veritable steal at £12. (I do like a touch of nautical. That’s what growing up by the sea does to a girl.)
There’s more than a hint of Scandi chic going on. Next have missed a trick here: call that coffee table Stockholm and it suddenly becomes super desirable. (Weybridge oak coffee table, £199; porcelain five light, £80.)
