If you, like me, live in flats, love to walk and are in need of a viable low-key alternative to the trainer, sandal or boot, then look no further as these shoes will take you through spring and into summer no problem..

Chanel espadrilles – sadly not part of my wardrobe…

Espadrilles have been knocking around for a while now, but like most things, it’s taken me a bit of time to get used to them. In fact, to be accurate, it took me this pair from Zara (£39.99) to suddenly decide that I seriously love them. Sparkly (much more so than in the picture below), super-comfortable and perfect with all manner of low-key looks (dresses, jeans, shorts), they are my shoe of the spring – and undoubtedly – summer. While I love the look of these ones from Burberry and these from Missoni, espadrilles aren’t a shoe you have to spend a fortune on and so I have chosen the best from the high street, and with ones this good, why not?

Undoubtedly, this is annoying for anyone with size 6 feet or above BUT if you can rock a child-size shoe, then these silver espadrilles from H&M (£5.99) are well worth snapping up.

Love Valentino’s lace espadrilles, but not the price? These could be a good alternative…(£26.25)

Stripes are a modern classic, these would bring a touch of summer to any outfit. £59

Or these from Soludos (£40)…

Not strictly espadrilles, but these glittery silver slip-ons from Toms (£39.99) are too lovely not to mention…

Lovely blog! Only just discovered you.

Do you know where the leopard and pink ones are from at the top? I couldn’t find them linked… I’ve got the sparkly silver Toms and they’re soooo comfortable, although looking a little ragged now!

      Hi Rosie,

So glad you like the blog! Unfortunately the gorgeous pink and leopard shoes are old season. They’re by a Spanish brand called Gaimo (www.gaimo.com). I’ve actually just bought a pair of animal-print ones from H&M, which while not quite as gorgeous are pretty lovely! x
