Zero Time, Max Style: The Embellished Jacket

6f94417bccb57e8bfbd67ae44ee3c048I’m pretty sure that I’ve mentioned before that I am very much in favour of the embellished jacket – as I am in favour of anything which makes getting dressed easier/faster (I can be terribly indecisive when it comes to deciding what to wear. I can forsee that I will need to become one of those women who plan their outfit the night before when I return to work.) But throw on a jacket and it instantly upgrades your outfit – even if you’re only wearing jeans and a t-shirt underneath. 2b7c3869d15a213cbde33f5f43b33765

I love the ease of this outfit – white jeans, embellished boho jacket giving it a gypsyish air. (I think the jacket is Zara, but it’s no longer available- try this one instead). The dream would be something by Isabel Marant or Talitha (the boho hippy luxe line created by fashion editor Kim Hersov. Here’s the Ottoman jacket in silk. Budget-busting but beautiful:


Until my ship comes in, one of these would do very nicely indeed. (River Island is a surprisingly good source of these jackets – who knew?)
