Christmas Gift Guide: for her

the-fashion-galleries-gifts-christmas-shopping-birthday-shopping-christmas-gifts-birthday-giftsDid we mention that Christmas is nearly here? If you, like me, haven’t even started Christmas shopping, then stop what you’re doing right now! As here is what you could buy for the woman/women in your life or what you (err well, me) might like to buy or ask for yourself. From statement jumpers to Bella Freud matches, these are the presents to be buying or wishing for this season!

A Statement Jumper

Let’s start with the big guns. This Bella Freud jumper is a cult classic and I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t love one under their tree. This Etoile jumper is also lovely – Natasha has it in white and it not only looks fab, it’s great quality too. Me + Em is our new favourite label (we’ll tell you more next week) and this jumper would be top of my list if I didn’t have it already. Coast isn’t usually on my radar, but I stumbled across the ruffle-sleeved top online and love it. The detailing is fabulous. As is the detailing on this embellished top. Maybe it’s time for a trip to Coast?

Beauty isn’t a boring gift if you choose the right products. The FOREO Iris eye massager is fantastic. A little gadget that vibrates and pulsates over the eye area to promote circulation and stimulate the cells, it reduces puffiness and firms up those soft bits under your eyes – it’s the beauty addict’s present of choice.  Aromatherapy Associates Oils are always good in my book. This Ultimate Set of Bath Oils would be the dream. Although just a bottle of Deep Relax would be heavenly. On the subject of oils, I’m a big believer in face oils. Nothing moisturises my skin quite as well. They also feel quite luxurious and after a day at the coalface of childcare, a little luxury is what I need. I’ve heard good things about Brit Brand Votary and am keen to try their Super Seed Facial Oil. Rodin’s Olio Lusso is amazing. My skin has never looked as good as when I used it. Mani and Pedi-fans would love a little pot of Chanel nail colour. I love NEOM’s candles, so one of these would be great as would something from Jo Loves (Jo Malone’s new brand). Or perhaps even this?

For Home Lovers

Cushions are always a good idea. Jessica Buckley makes beautiful ones. I particularly like this pink Ikat one, £55. This one (Bella Freud again, but I LOVE it). Shutterblue‘s navy velvet and pom pom cushions (two trends I’m all over) are just beautiful as is this saffron pom pom number from Bluebell Grey. And this Orla Kiely duck egg blue cushion would make a very pretty addition to any sofa.

I’ve had my eye on this gold pineapple from John Lewis for a while. Is it an ornament? Is it a storage pot? People it’s both! What’s not to love?  This lamp is also rather splendid as are these bird cage lamps from Graham & Green. And, if we’re on the subject of lamps, one from Pooky would be wonderful.

Personalised jewellery is always a great hit. These monogram necklaces from Anthropologie are really great value. And I really like these earrings. Rachel Jackson‘s engraved spinning necklace is lovely. And Marte Frisnes is always a big hit in my book.

I have lusted after these Hush cashmere wrist-warmers (great for 3/4 length sleeves) for the last two years. Perhaps this Christmas they’ll be mine! This oversized scarf from Zara is gorgeous (Natasha has a pic of hers on Instagram and I love it). On the subject of leopard print, I’ve admired this bag for a while,  although of course, I’d never be unhappy with one of these under my Christmas tree. Finally if we’re going for ultimate presents (I HAVE NO CHANCE OF RECEIVING) then let’s talk about these Sophia Webster shoes. Just perfection, no?

Bits and Bobs

There’s something about long matches I love, and there’s something about Bella Freud that I definitely love (you might have guessed that). These ‘Ginsberg is God’ are the perfect gift for any candle-loving, interiors-orientated friend (or yup, me). I also have a ‘thing’ about notebooks. Kate Spade‘s Chic Happens journal is really rather fabulous as is this art-deco inspired design from the brilliant Chase & Wonder. And another love of mugs – there’s always room for a Pip Studio or Keith Brymer Jones design in my cupboard. Love music? Then these Pink headphones are for you. Books are always a great gift. If you loved The Girl on The Train, then this is the next one from Paula Hawkins. And if you haven’t read any William Boyd, then click instantly and buy one of these. All wonderful. Brazzaville Beach or Any Human Heart are probably my favourites.
